Guide Abaya Care

Please refer to the care label for instructions on how to care for your abaya. Abayas are usually made with fabrics such as Nida, Cotton, Polyester, Crepe, and Satin. Check the label for specific instructions, which may include hand washing, machine wash or dry cleaning only. If you are unsure, it is best to opt for dry-cleaning, especially for abayas with other decorations such as lace, as hand-washing or machine-washing could damage the garment. Always remember to read and follow the care instructions to ensure proper care of your Abaya.

When machine washing your abayas, make sure to use a delicate cycle on your washing machine. Avoid using hot water as it can damage your abayas. Always choose mild detergents for washing delicate fabrics. To prevent damage to the garment, wash your abayas inside out. After washing, let them air dry. When ironing  your abaya, use a low heat setting and iron it inside out to avoid exposing the fabric to extreme heat. To hang your abayas without losing their shape, use velvet hangers.
