Chiffon Fabric Care

Check the label: Before deciding whether to wash your Chiffon dress, check the care label. Different fabrics may require different cleaning methods. Some may need to be dry-cleaned, so it's important to follow the instructions on the label.

Chiffon, a delicate fabric, needs special care when washing. Hand washing is the safest method, while machine washing is not advised. Remember to check the care label, use cool water and mild detergent, avoid bleach and hot water, and let the garment air dry. Avoid putting chiffon in the dryer to prevent shrinkage. If wrinkles occur, iron on low heat. By taking good care of your chiffon dresses and hijabs, they will stay beautiful for a long time.

If it's silk chiffon, take it to a dry cleaner. For polyester or nylon chiffon, you can either hand wash it or use a washing machine on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent and cold water. Soak it for 20-30 minutes, but don't leave it in the water for too long to prevent fading. Avoid wringing the fabric as it can lose its shape. Lay it flat to dry. Lastly, keep it away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
